K-3III.pdf - Google Drive

Ci-dessous la traduction en anglais que j'ai postée sur Pentax Forums :

High-resolution images with 25.73 effective megapixels and ultra-high sensitivity of up to 1.6 million ISO
The new low-pass filter-less back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, with an effective resolution of 25.73 effective megapixels (APS-C size equivalent), has been adopted in pursuit of even higher image quality. In addition, the newly developed high-performance image processing engine "PRIME V" and "Accelerator Unit II" have been incorporated into the basic device. The result is a high quality image with thoroughly suppressed noise while maintaining high resolution throughout the entire sensitivity range from low to ultra high. In addition, by dramatically improving the performance of the high-sensitivity noise reduction process, the new model achieves an ultra-high sensitivity of up to 1.6 million ISO, greatly expanding the range of possible shooting conditions.

Optical viewfinder with a field of view of approx. 100% and a magnification of approx. 1.05x
An optical viewfinder with a field of view of approx. 100% and a magnification of approx. 1.05x is provided. A newly developed glass pentaprism with a high refractive index provides a large field of view comparable to that of a full-frame camera, while ensuring eye relief. The use of distortion-correcting elements and optimised coatings ensure a clear and natural viewfinder image with no distortion. The brightness of the viewfinder has been increased by approximately 10% compared to the PENTAX K-3 II. The focusing screen is made of Natural Bright Matte III, which is renowned for its ease of focusing during manual focusing, and provides a high quality image with excellent bokeh reproduction. In addition, the transparent viewfinder display makes it possible to display a variety of photographic information on the screen.

In-body image stabilisation available for all compatible lenses
SR II (Shake Reduction II), the camera's built-in image stabilisation system, effectively compensates for camera shake even when shooting in conditions that are prone to camera shake, such as telephoto shots, shots with the flash off, and landscapes at dusk. In addition to general angular shake (in two axes, horizontal and vertical), the lens also compensates for shift shake (in two axes, horizontal and vertical) and rotational shake, which are more likely to occur during macro photography. With a correction effect of 5.5 stops, which is the highest of any Pentax camera, it is possible to significantly extend the limits of hand-held shooting. The camera also features a new "follow-up mode" for shooting slow-moving subjects.

Super-resolution technology "Real Resolution System"
The camera is equipped with the Real Resolution System, a super-resolution technology that combines four images taken by shifting the image sensor unit one pixel at a time into a single image. In contrast to the conventional Bayer system, which can only acquire one colour information per pixel, the Real Resolution System enables the acquisition of each RGB colour information per pixel, resulting in an ultra-high resolution image with excellent detail and colour reproduction and true resolving power. The camera is also equipped with an on/off function for motion compensation, which detects only the parts of the image that are perceived as moving objects during continuous shooting to reduce the effects of image composition, expanding the range of situations in which it can be used.

"Low-pass selector" to eliminate false colours and moiré
The low-pass selector function allows the image sensor unit to be driven sub-pixel by sub-pixel during exposure to achieve a moiré reduction effect similar to that of an optical low-pass filter. In contrast to optical low-pass filters, which have a fixed effect, this innovative technology allows the user to turn the effect on or off, or to select the strength or weakness of the effect, making it easy to optimize the shooting settings to suit the subject and shooting conditions.

High-resolution LCD monitor with intuitive touch operation
The 3.2-inch high-definition LCD monitor with approximately 1.62 million dots is the first in the K series to feature touch panel operation, allowing you to quickly and intuitively make various menu settings and zoom in and out on images during playback. The LCD monitor and viewfinder have an air-gap-less construction, with a special resin filling in the gap between the LCD panel and the tempered glass protective cover to reduce diffuse light reflection and improve visibility. In addition, the large gap between the LCD monitor and the viewfinder opening has been designed so that the nose does not come into contact with the LCD monitor when looking through the viewfinder. It also features an eye sensor underneath the viewfinder, which turns off the image monitor as soon as you look through the viewfinder, making it easier to concentrate on shooting.

101 AF points "SAFOX 13" AF system
The new SAFOX 13 phase-detection AF system features 101 AF points, 25 of which are cross-sensors, and a low-light limit of -4 EV. In addition, the new RGBIr metering sensor with an increased number of pixels of 307,000 pixels and the latest motion prediction algorithm improve AF tracking performance and the ability to cope with subject speed changes and irregular movements. When operating the camera, the new AF point joystick allows the user to intuitively select up to 41 AF points.

PENTAX real-time scene analysis system based on artificial intelligence technology
The combination of the new high-resolution RGBIr metering sensor and the latest PRIME V image processing engine enables the PENTAX real-time scene analysis system, which uses image recognition technology to detect subjects such as people's faces and eyes and analyse their movements in real time during viewfinder shooting. This allows for optimal exposure control and subject capture during autofocusing. Deep Learning, a popular artificial intelligence technology, is also used in the algorithm to ensure more stable subject detection and scene identification.

High-speed continuous shooting at up to 12 frames per second
The newly developed mirror drive system provides high-speed, high-precision control of the mirror and shutter unit, while PRIME V enables high-speed data transfer. This enables high-speed continuous shooting of up to 12 frames per second in AF.S and 11 frames per second in AF.C. C.

A range of photographic functions to increase efficiency and comfort

  • Unique hyper-program operation system with a new "ADVANCED" mode that allows for more flexible exposure settings.
  • Key lock function to prevent malfunctions around buttons and crosshairs related to exposure control.
  • The new "Smart Function", with its dedicated "Smart Function Button", allows the user to quickly select and set the various functions without having to switch to the menu screen.
  • "Button customization" function that allows to change the function assignment of 10 buttons to one's liking.
Compact and robust body with dust and- splashproof construction
The front, rear, top and bottom of the body are made of a lightweight yet robust magnesium alloy. The camera is also dust- and splashproof, with sealing on all parts, and is guaranteed to operate down to -10°C (-4°F), making it durable and reliable in wet, dusty and cold environments. The camera is also equipped with a shutter unit that has passed an endurance test of 300,000 cycles (mounted in the camera), ensuring a robust body for any shooting situation.

4K movie recording with a wide range of settings
The camera is capable of recording 4K video in H.264 format at 3,840 x 2,160 30p/24p and Full HD video at 1,920 x 1,080 60p/30p/24p. The camera is also equipped with stereo microphone and headphone jacks for external input, with manual settings for audio recording levels and sound pressure monitoring of the microphone input, as well as a wind noise reduction function. In addition, the touch panel operation on the rear LCD monitor allows the user to set shooting functions and exposure compensation while taking into consideration the operating noise.

Dual communication via Bluetooth and wireless LAN
This camera is equipped with a wireless function that allows it to work with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Using the dedicated Image Sync app, you can view the live view feed, take pictures and make settings from your smartphone, and transfer images to your smartphone for easy uploading to social networking sites. When the camera is connected to the app, the camera can also record location information from the smartphone on the captured image.

  • "DRII (Dust Removal II)" system using ultrasonic vibrations to provide top class dust removal performance.
  • "Outdoor monitor" and "Red screen display " function for quick brightness adjustment to suit the operating environment.
  • "HDR" shooting function that supports RAW storage and handheld shooting.
  • Dual SD card slots (slot 1 is UHS-II compatible).
  • Supports charging of the camera via USB Type-C connector.
  • The ergonomic design of the exterior shape and controls fits a wide range of hand sizes and finger lengths.
  • Supports aperture priority AE shooting and Exif recording of focal length when using old lenses without electronic contacts.

J'ai l'impression qu'il y a des nouveautés en plus :
"Low-pass selector" to eliminate false colours and moiré : Jusqu'à présent on avait un capteur sans filtre non ? C'est la même fonction que sur le K1 ou bien c'est une évolution ?

Elle semble un poil différente de la technologie du K1. Sur la page du K1 mkII voila ce qu'on peut lire :

AA filter simulator
State-of-the-art mechanism to optically minimize moiré and false color
The PENTAX-original AA (anti-aliasing) filter simulator* effectively minimizes moiré and false color by using the camera's SR mechanism to apply microscopic vibrations to the image sensor during exposure. It provides the option of choosing the AA-filter effect for well-balanced images or the AA-filter-free mode for greater resolving power.
