It`s sharp, well build and even wide open allready usefull. And, important for wildlife shooters, it focusses fast and can take a good amount of rain.

The Sigma AF 100-300mm f/4 EX DG HSM APO is one of the most impressive Sigma lenses tested to date. It is able to deliver a near-flawless performance with great resolution figures, low vignetting, low distortions, low CAs and a very decent bokeh (albeit slightly underdeveloped regarding the moderate max. aperture unless your main subject is fairly close). It works reasonably well with the Sigma AF 1.4x DG EX converter but there's no free lunch here for obvious reasons. The Sigma is quite a monster of a lens but the combination of speed and focal length range simply takes its toll regarding size and weight requirements. The build quality is exceptionally high and combined with the snappy AF it was a joy to use the lens in the field.

Bonjour à tous,
Voila, objectif reçu et plutôt impressionné par celui-ci (c'est mon 1er télé...).
Plutôt lourd, avec le poids du boitier ça monte encore un peu, je vais souvent me balader avec le monopode je pense...
Le KR en est presque ridicule à coté !




J'ai fait un petit essai à 100mm, en intérieur à main levée, l'image originale à 100% crop est franchement super.



Cet objectif est pas conséquent un excellent candidat pour ceux qui veulent un télé, il n'est pas très connu car il ne se fait plus, mais vu le prix auquel on peut l'avoir, c'est franchement une alternative très sérieuse aux "standards" 70-200, voire d'autres...

Je le possède aussi et c'est vrai qu'il est très bon même à ouverture maxi donc bon choix.
